Cheap Makita LS1013FL Makita LS1013FL 15 Amp 10-Inch Dual Bevel Compound Sliding Miter Saw with Laser and Fluorescent Light
Makita LS1013FL 15 Amp 10-Inch Dual Bevel Compound Sliding Miter Saw with Laser and Fluorescent Light
I had suffered for many years, cut with an old B & D, saw the noisy as all getout, inaccurate, and worse of all, a poorly designed blade guard that I have removed long ago, I wonder when in the first time a pair would chop your fingers off. I am glad of a large initial improvement project to start with lots of expensive trim and moldings, and I wanted something that would be good, as good as fine furniture projects I have planned for the near future. So I finally had thetook the plunge and LS1013FL Makita.
Although I had only two days, I can already say that it fulfilled the law was beautiful, and an attractive price. I looked at the Festool, but decided that it would be wise to take a second mortgage will now receive an instrument, even one that appears as big as this. So after reading many reviews, particularly the Makita, Bosch and Makita miter saws sliding, I immediately removed the Bosch and Bosch and Makita on. I closed my 12 "Why report inaccuracies saws because of flex of the blade, the more I did not want the extra weight. And with the ability of the Sega 10 "models is actually quite good, not so much smaller than 12" models and much better than circular saws like the old B & D that I had.
I actually pulled the orange looked great, but only a discount of $ 100. Thus, the price is $ 399 As others have pointed out, the packaging could be better, so it was goodYou can check the box before you buy, what to check in this case, in good condition, with no visible damage. Right out of the box, of course, seemed to be in perfect condition. The slider was tight (no play), and smooth. I very precise cuts 90 and 45 degree, controlled by a combination square Starrett accurate. I do not know if the mainland, but this is not a big problem for me because I can always override that for a good job, the highest precision. The visa has beensurprisingly quiet, at least until the old B & D. As others have reported the comparison, the blade is pretty good, so you have a very clean cut. The laser is much brighter (at least inside) and appears to be exactly aligned, out of the box. The fluorescent light is OK but not great and not really necessary, IMO, if not forced, are in the twilight of work, for example, with other light.
My main concern are the symptoms so far, that the sub-right fence was not included with the saw and the vertical clampis not as well developed as it could be (which may be difficult position in which you want to, sometimes because the top of plastic used to collect awards, swinging from the left side of the fence). I think I would also say that even the left side of the wall is a bit 'too low, but the right side of the fence is too low, without the sub-fence. So I ordered the fence to the right from Amazon for about $ 54, if it was not yet come.
I had planned to use a Makita Dewalt Booth 723I have taken for 189 dollars, but I am considering the swap-723 is a Delta 36-136 (seems to be stable and has wheels), or a Trojan MS-2000, a bit 'more expensive, but with some features . The main disadvantage of the delta has only a capacity of 8 feet wide support, compared to 16 for the Bosch, and 13 for the Trojans. (The Ultrafence Sawhelper seems good, but the request for 2 guides looms large once again:)

If you’re in the market for a miter saw, we always recommend considering a compound model. A compound miter saw is one on which the blade both tilts (bevels) and rotates (miters) to make miter cuts, allowing you to make compound-angle cuts essential for installing crown molding. This professional-duty machine tilts 45 degrees left and right, allowing you to make bevel cuts at both ends of a board without having to flip the board piece around. Its oversized aluminum worktable rotates 45 degrees to the left and 52 degrees to the right.
The saw has a built-in laser that clearly highlights cut line for quick, safe, accurate cuts. However, unlike most miter saws, the laser on this Makita model is mounted above the blade, not to the arbor. That means you don’t have to turn on the saw to activate the laser. Another nice feature is that the laser is independently switched, so you can turn it on or off whenever you’d like.
The saw carriage slides on two precision-ground steel rails that are fitted with ball bearing guides. The result is a vibration-free smooth-rolling saw that produces precise, consistent cuts, even at the outer limits of the slide mechanism. By the way, this 49-pound tool can crosscut a 2-by-12 and bevel-cut boards up to 3-5/8 inch thick. The LS1013L has a souped-up 15-amp, 3,700-rpm direct-drive motor that transfers cutting power to the blade much more efficiently than typical belt-driven saws.
One unique feature of the “FL” line of Makita saws is the built-in fluorescent work light. It illuminates the cut line exactly where you want it, and it’s always right at your fingertips. Makita says the bulb will last some 2,000 hours. Take care, though, as the bulb does get quite warm.
This versatile saw can handle a wide range of carpentry jobs from house framing and deck building to cabinetmaking and interior trim work. .– Joseph Truini
What’s in the box: The saw comes with a dust-collection bag, hold-down vise, two extension wings, 70-tooth carbide-tipped saw blade and blade wrench

This is our second film Makita saw the same pattern. Standard features with its portability is an easy choice for our work trailers. We use it for everything from cutting and shaping wood or vinyl siding fine trim. The only downside of buying online is the packaging of shipment must be reconsidered. He had broken with the tilt handle and laying down the box.will have to worry about.
